Ongoing Acting Project:

Shakespeare’s Duets: Turn & Change

devised and performed with Andrew Codispoti

Join us for an exploration of the infinity between two people as we look at how relationships are initiated, developed, and interrogated in Shakespeare’s plays. From love and loss, joy and heartbreak, manipulation and negotiation, witness drama at its most distilled: two characters on the stage before the audience as they turn together and change each other.

THE SHAKESPEARE ENSEMBLE, CURATED BY BEN CRYSTAL

Ensemble Member

The ensemble is comprised of International artists whose main work has been to explore Shakespeare’s original practices – and especially those of accent, space, company, and stage-craft – to bring about new rehearsal and performance tools for modern Shakespeare production and education. Each show is rehearsed to production standard in 3-5 days, using Elizabethan rehearsal methods. Ariana has worked with The Shakespeare Ensemble as a company member for their 2019 tour of Japan, and their 2020 online worldwide performance of What You Will.

INCITE SHAKESPEARE COMPANY SANTA FE

Artistic Director, Actor, Designer, Composer

(formerly International Shakespeare Center) is a non-profit organization committed to making Santa Fe, New Mexico a destination for world-class Shakespeare. Our mission is to engage and build community through imaginative, entertaining, and insightful performances. We strive to develop productions that take Shakespeare’s plays off the pedestal and explore their resonance in our contemporary times. We examine power, play with gender, and experiment with process. We create productions that provoke complex thoughts and deep feelings. We aim to present Shakespeare’s work as we experience it: exciting, alive, edgy, full of beauty, imagination, change, contradiction, and complexity. We want our whole community, from actors to audiences, from designers to students, to feel energized by Shakespeare. Ariana works with the ISC as an actor, director, educator, musician, composer and designer.
